The concept of a multi-functional building on Gdynia Boulevard.
The architecture of the designed facility fits into the maritime character of the city of Gdynia - a simple, modernist façade in light colors (white, light wood, gray stone elements) with plenty of glazing.
In the designed facility, great attention is paid to the needs related to the functioning of the rescue unit - on the first floor there is a room for beach observation, and on the ground floor, directly on the side of the boulevard and the beach, there is a medical point (rescuers have approximately 300-400 interventions per season - cuts, fractures, etc.) .)
In accordance with the guidelines, a changing room for women and men with showers was designed, which is used by rescuers in the summer season and by walruses in the winter season.
A complementary function is catering - a cafe with a bar - on the ground floor there is a bar counter with a small storage area (shared with lifeguards / water ski lift staff) and social facilities and a toilet available for guests of the premises. A small observation deck and a catering hall are planned on the first floor.
This combination of functions will ensure year-round operation of the facility.
