Comprehensive renovation including partial thermal modernization along with the reconstruction and extension of a single-family residential building, including land development. The property is classified as a historic building – a terraced house from the interwar period. The planned extension with a new form is based on a simple idea of contrasting the existing form of the building with a new form that does not pretend to have been there forever. The proposed materials for the facade included fiber-cement panels (visualizations), but after a series of consultations with the investor and the Municipal Conservation Office, it was decided to cover the entire extension with Actua 10 ceramic tiles. The color of the ceramics refers to the surroundings – the ubiquitous carp tile, warm, brick colors, and their simplicity will emphasize the character of the designed structure. The pattern of the tiles will make the blind wall a coherent whole with the rest of the designed building. The form of a simple roof without eaves was chosen deliberately to emphasize the simplicity of the designed form. Photos from the construction site coming soon!
